Skeleton recreations so real you will think you got lost in time!
The museum is named after Joseph Tyrrell who discovered bones of a massive carnivorous Albertosaurus in 1894.  This stunning museum contains a wealth of information about our 4.6 billion year old planet.  The highlight is the display of some of the best fossils yet found.  Walk through the prehistoric gardens, interactive exhibits, giant dioramas and computer simulations.  There is a separate marine fossil section and open-glass obsrvation of the science labs.  The museum is open year round and is close to the Alberta Badlands and the famous hoodoos.

Tyrrell is famous for having lots of interactive learning for kids.  Kids love to touch and there are plenty of exhibits for them to do so.
