This is the longest river in Banff National Park. The river is born at Bow
Lake, northwest of Banff on the Icefields
Parkway. It flows south and then turns east passing through
Banff and Canmore and eventually joining the South Saskatchewan
River and flowing to Hudsons Bay.
Canoeing is available on the Bow.
Whitewater rafting is not
recommended here and is very much better on the rivers in Jasper
National Park to the north. |
